IMAP

Introduction

What is IMAP and How Does Hayha Use It?

IMAP (Internet Message Access Protocol) allows Hayha to access your email inbox directly to retrieve login codes (e.g., one-time passcodes or verification codes) and manage account related tasks such as password resets. Note that each module may have specific requirements, and further intervention maybe needed. Many users forward emails from several accounts to one main email address to simplify their IMAP setup. Instead of setting up IMAP for every individual account, you only need to configure it for the main email. This centralizes all login codes and account-related emails in one place, making it easier to manage.

IMAP enables Hayha to:

  • Fetch login codes, streamlining account access and minimizing manual input.

  • Handle account-related tasks, such as password resets and account locks.

Do I need to setup IMAP?

No, it isn't required for most modules however we highly recommend setting it up especially when running multiple accounts for sites that use one-time passcodes or require you to setup passwords. Some modules also support Manual Verification which will allow you to input the codes manually in the Harvester.

Where to setup IMAP?

Method 1

In-Bot -> Settings -> Task -> IMAP

Method 2

You can enter IMAP information in the Account Tab using the specified format or first add accounts in the standard Username:Password format, then select and edit them to input the IMAP details. Format: Username:Password:IMAPEmail:IMAPPassword:IMAPProvider Example: GoatWalmartaccount@gmail.com:Password123:imapemail@gmail.com:IMAPPassword123:Gmail

Alternatively, you can add accounts in the standard format without IMAP. Once added to the account tab, you can edit them by selecting the desired accounts, then Right-Click -> Edit to add IMAP information.
